From Dubrovnik, we took a pretty drive up the
Dalmatian coast to a town called Split and from there we took a ferry to the island of Hvar where we spent most of the remainder of the trip. The island is about 40 miles long and there is only really one road which connects the 10 or so towns, and only 11,000 people live on the whole island. It is known for its boats and beaches but also for its lavender fields, olives groves and vineyards, so the scenery is stunning.
