Some firsts from the first week

All cozy during the first outing in the pram.

First outing, and first time in the baby bjorn.

The first bath (which he seemed to enjoy, but the drying off was another matter).

The first, uh, time that we've, um, posted a photo of Sebastian in his moses basket.

And definitely not the first time to sleep with his hands up near or above his head.

  2. Too cute. For some reason, I've always gotten along with Sagitarians. Sebastian also shares a birthday with Emily Dickinson. I remember liking her poetry.

"A Bird came down the Walk"

A Bird came down the Walk --
He did not know I saw --
He bit an Angleworm in halves
    And ate the fellow, raw,

And then he drank a Dew
    From a convenient Grass --
And then hopped sidewise to the Wall
To let a Beetle pass --

    He glanced with rapid eyes
    That hurried all around --
They looked like frightened Beads, I thought--
    He stirred his Velvet Head

    Like one in danger, Cautious,
    I offered him a Crumb
    And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home --

    Than Oars divide the Ocean,
Too silver for a seam --
Or Butterflies, off Banks of Noon
    Leap, plashless as they swim.
